Why is it that every time I start working on something it looks so damn awesome, but then after working on it and messing with it and all that I just can’t stand to look at it.
At this point to me it looks like total poo, everyone elses site probably looks so much better. Well anyways good luck to you all on the up coming finals and congrats to those graduating.
So my design process seems to differ from what some of you have posted. Some of you sit in the the silence to think, which is rather hard for me to do, while others write out ideas on paper. I don’t really go and do that either, i sit listening to music or the random sounds from the tv and look through the web at things.
After a while I start to build the look in my head and if it starts to look good I scratch it onto a piece of paper, which ended up being a syllabus. After I get a few down, I went and opened illustrator and started to basically do them all on there, one page comps. then I looked and modified the ones I liked and deleted the others. Thats basically I how I do things, its a rather slow process and it ends up with me arguing with myself a lot and with me walking out of the apartment to get a breath of air.
I managed to get my comps out and everything. I know I probably need to add or remove things to them but the people I asked for insight weren’t really helpful. So I am looking forward to getting help.
Art Prostitute Gallery
The gallery itself has nothing to do with design. It is traditional art, by that I mean paint and canvas, but the site itself I like. I like the simplicity of it.
Its using flash, but I recall seeing a site before doing the same thing but with CSS and I wonder if that would be possible to do.
I’ll give it a shot on my own, but if any of you happen to know a trick or two I wouldn’t mind hearing them.
